Julian goes through phases like that. Probably no different than the rest of us, only they have the luxury of getting to really express their emotions about it. I bet he'll get excited again, maybe you just need to find another exciting angle. I will be thinking on this.
On another note--I hate going through that with Julian, it wrecks my whole day, even though I know he has fun after I'm gone, it is hard to not stay with him when he does it.
